About dk-country.blogspot.com

dk-country.blogspot.com is a blog site created to provide Walkthroughs, Cheats and Secrets, Guides, Emulator and ROM downloads, and media for the game Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.

About Donkey Kong Country

Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble were games for SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), and Game Boy Advance. Later on, skilled programmers created emulators to allow such games to be played on PC. The game was created by Rare (formerly Rareware) and was licensed by Nintendo for their game systems.

About SNES and Game Boy Advance

SNES and Game Boy Advance are Nintendo's Game Consoles. These Game Consoles are able to play numerous 16-bit Games. The consoles has a cartridge slot that enables it to play cartridge-based games that are sold separately in the market.

About SNES/Game Boy Advance Emulators

An SNES/Game Boy Advance Emulator is a PC program that mimics the operating system found on SNES or a Game Boy Advance game console, and thus, enable SNES/Game Boy Advance games to be played on PC.

SNES and Game Boy Advance emulators were never licensed by Nintendo, and had been actually branded as pirated products, simply because, it can be abused. However, the programmers who designed the emulators reason out that they never intend it for piracy. They created the emulators so SNES and Game Boy Advance games could be played on PC, provided of course, that the player already has the game console. Some programmers hold this true as some emulators do require a BIOS, which can only be obtained from the game console.

Legal Issues

Dk-country.blogspot.com does not promote piracy. To play safe, the site does not hold any emulator or SNES/Game Boy Advance ROM files in its server. We merely serve as a venue of information. Furthermore emulators are legal, they are allowed provided you have bought the game console and the game, and we assume you did, so don't blame it on us.
